The Alchemist Mail Café

The Alchemist, is not only a restaurant, but also a popular gathering place for culture, art and travel enthusiasts.

The Alchemist Mail Café, under the brand of The Alchemist Café Bistro, is the first concept cafe of "POST TO THE FUTURE". In keeping with its role as a concept café, the Alchemist will offer postcard mailing service for visitors.

The gift shop Sole Cultural Goods is on the ground floor of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, with simple, cozy and spacious interior. It offers the finest selections of books, CDs/DVDs, quality souvenirs, accessories and stationeries with focus on local heritage, as well as oriental and western art and culture.

There are six permanent exhibition galleries for the display of the museum's collections and six thematic galleries for temporary exhibitions.

Theatre

With a seating capacity of 350, the multipurpose theatre is a sophisticated venue for Cantonese opera, musical performances, lectures, seminars, ceremonies and multimedia presentations.

The education studios and seminar rooms are fully equipped for hosting educational activities such as lectures, demonstrations, courses and workshops.

Our nursery room equipped with changing and feeding facilities is located at the Ground Floor.

We also provide baby strollers, wheelchairs and walking stick chairs lending service. Please contact our enquiry counter for further assistance.

Free Bicycle Parking Area

For visitors who cycle to the museum, we have also set up a free bicycle parking area with 8 spaces. However, you should bring your own bicycle lock. After visiting the museum, you will need to show your admission ticket or Museum Pass to the security guard in charge before you collect your bicycle.

Accessibility for the Disabled

The museum provides barrier-free access for wheelchair users at all levels with lifts. Wheelchairs can be borrowed at the Information Counter at G/F subject to availability. Coaches from rehabilitation centres may drop off visitors at the museum's covered car park which leads directly to the museum lobby. Enquiries : 2180 8188
