Hu Yidao Drama Performance

Special Programme for Jin Yong Gallery

In tandem with the exhibition held at the Jin Yong Gallery, Theatre Space will present the drama Hu Yidao, adapted from the Jin Yong novel Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain. With Hu Yidao and his wife as the central characters, the drama uses the flashback method to show an incident that happened many years ago in the martial arts circle, based on stories recalled by Baoshu the monk, Miao Ruolan, Ping Asi and Tao Baisui. It reveals the interplay of friendship and hatred between Hu Yidao and Miao Renfeng, and uncovers the mystery of the unjust deaths of Hu Yidao and his wife. Each of the four characters has a different story with a different perspective. After all, who is telling the truth? Theatre Space will host a special post-performance discussion session after the school performance, in the hope of stimulating an in-depth exchange through dialogue with the students.

The original stage play is adapted by Lo King-man, edited by Jacob Yu Chun-kau and Cheung Fei-fan, and directed by Jacob Yu Chun-kau. Stephen Au Kam-tong, Jenus Ho Man- yee and Jimmy Ko Kai-cheung play the leading roles.
