Presented by Hong Kong Design Centre A partnership project of Hong Kong Design Centre and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department Creative Ecologies+ looks at Hong Kong’s creative evolution in time and space. It explores how internal and external forces have impacted the design industry’s growth since the beginning of the 20th century, and how these relate to the emergence and enlargement of the creative infrastructure, as well as the development of enterprises and brands through collaborative and social innovation. The exhibition also profiles representative and recent works by a diverse group of both established and up-and coming young designers. It aims to offer viewers the bigger picture about design-led developments in Asia, and the possibilities for capitalising on opportunities presented by the region’s expanding megalopolis economy, while simultaneously enriching their appreciation of Hong Kong design in economic, cultural and social terms.
