Super Food: Children¢s Art Exhibition
Outside Children's Discovery Gallery,
Hong Kong Heritage Museum
12 May 2004 - 15 August 2004

At two exciting and playful art camps in the summer and winter and a series of art courses in 2003, a group of creative children artists discovered Hong Kong's food culture under the guidance of our art mentors at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

On the camps and courses, these children artists not only learned about calories, healthy eating and the "Food Pyramid", they also used their creative skills to transform everyday eating utensils such as forks and knifes into "multi-purpose gadgets" and to give life to traditional Chinese clay pots, changing them into adorable creatures or ferocious monsters.

To get to know the local food culture even better, our children artists also became entrepreneurs themselves, together setting up different shops - the "Mix'n'Match Noodle Trolley", "Supermarket in a Can" and "Modern Feikei Luam" - to sell all kinds of imaginative products. Come along and visit their shops and experience their "feast of creativity". Everyone's welcome!
