With a gentle pull of the curtain, a stage filled with elements of Hong Kong’s popular culture across different eras comes into view. As a comprehensive museum under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, spanning history, art and culture, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum has thoughtfully curated a wide range of exhibitions and activities, that guide visitors to explore in depth the development and unique charm of Hong Kong’s culture, while imprinting the city with precious cultural memories.

The museum houses 12 exhibition galleries with a total display area of 7,500 square metres, including six permanent galleries – “Hong Kong Pop 60+”, Jin Yong Gallery, Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall, T.T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art, Chao Shao-an Gallery and Children’s Discovery Gallery. In addition, its thematic galleries regularly present exhibitions on diverse themes enhancing visitors’ understanding and interest of culture and arts and vividly narrating stories that traverse both time and cultural boundaries on this cultural stage.
