In Good Hands: An Elemental Approach to Museum Conservation
This guided tour combines Eastern and Western perspectives, using the elements of matter and energy as entry points to showcase selected exhibits from the Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall and introduce the conservation techniques applied behind the scenes. The participants will join a special tour to the gallery and conservation laboratories for a journey through history, culture, art and science. By exploring the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage, the participants will develop a stronger sense of cultural identity and thus a better understanding of cultural security within the context of national security.
