Museum Reopening Arrangements

Hong Kong Heritage Museum will be partially open starting from 19 February 2021 (Friday). We will implement admission quota and special precautionary measures to help ensure public safety.

- Special opening hours are from 10am to 5pm (closes on Tuesdays).

- Interactive exhibits and public programmes are temporarily suspended.

- Children's Discovery Gallery and the theatre are temporarily closed.

- Special precautionary measures

· The hygiene of the facilities will be strengthened. Regular disinfection of toilets, lifts, escalators, railings, buttons and all public areas of the museum will be arranged. Sanitising mats and alcohol hand sanitisers will be provided.

· Visitors are subject to temperature check before admission. Visitors with fever symptoms will not be admitted.

· Visitors should apply alcohol hand sanitisers before admission.

· Visitors will need to wear their own masks in the museum.

· Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

· Visitors are required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile app to minimise the risk of further transmission of the virus.

Hong Kong Heritage Museum will review the situation and adjust relevant preventive measures as and when necessary. For details, please see museum website.

Its branch museums, Hong Kong Railway Museum and Sheung You Folk Museum, remain closed until further notice.

 

Opening Hours

Monday, Wednesday to Friday :                         10am-6pm
Saturday, Sunday & public holidays :                 10am-7pm
Christmas Eve and Chinese New Year's Eve :  10am-5pm
Closed on Tuesdays (except public holidays) and the first two days of the Chinese New Year
Box Office will be closed 30 minutes before the Museum closes.
