Small-hand Drawing • Big-hand Carving — Printmaking Family Workshop
Special Programmes for "20/20 Hong Kong Print Art Exhibition" and "Between the Lines — The Legends of Hong Kong Printing"
Printmaking differs from painting, as a matrix is first required, and then the image is transferred to produce an artwork. The matrix can be reused multiple times. The printing process is full of surprises and possibilities. This is what makes printmaking interesting.
In this workshop, with the theme "Ideal World", children will design and carve their print images on matrices with their parents under the guidance of the instructor. They will experience the whole process of creating relief prints together. The participants may also explore stamping the patterns on personal items such as T-shirts, pencil cases and fabric bags, producing distinctive printed items.
