Ink Painting for Fun

Ink painting can be both figurative and abstract. The instructor will start from the basics, teaching the participants skills such as Chinese brush control, ink and colour applications as well as composition, and then introduce simple contemporary ink painting techniques to enhance the work with abstract colour patches, so that the participants can experience for themselves the fun of different types of ink painting.

Target Children aged 6 to 12 (an accompanying parent is required)
Enrolment A maximum of 28 participants (14 pairs of child and adult) for each session. Enrolment starts on 13 March 2023 at 10:00 am and ends on 24 March 2023 at 3:00 pm. To register, please complete the application form for Education and Extension Programmes (download the form). In case of over-application, an open lot draw will be conducted. Successful applicants will be notified by phone.

*Note MuseKids who have never participated in a MuseKids programme will be given priority when they sign up for the first workshop session. If the number of first-time MuseKids participants exceeds the quota, an open lot draw will be conducted.

 

Beach Strolling – Texture Painting Workshop

As the weather gets warm in May, it would be pleasant to go to the beach with your child. In this workshop, children and parents will be guided to create a texture painting of a seashore full of natural essence, making it a perfect Mother's Day gift to be put on a desk so that one can feel the gentle breeze and warm sunshine anytime.

Building a Small-Scale City Scene – Fotomo Workshop

The multitude of signboards in the streets of Hong Kong is a unique feature of the city's urban landscape. The participants of this workshop will learn about the aesthetics of advertising signboards in Hong Kong and how to use photographs to create a three-dimensional model (Fotomo) of their own street of signboards.
