International Museum Day 2018, Hong Kong

Hyperconnected Museums: New Approaches, New Publics

The theme of International Museum Day 2018, Hong Kong is "Hyperconnected Museums: New Approaches, New Publics". With the constant advances in information technology, our communications and connections with one another are becoming more complex and diverse every day. Museums are an inherent part of our local communities, cultural landscape and natural environment, so they are also committed to developing new approaches to enrich the audience's viewing experience and strengthen connections between museums and audiences.

To echo this theme, Hong Kong Heritage Museum and its branch museums arranged special programmes on 12 and 13 May. We hope that visitors have enjoyed the artistic and cultural atmosphere at the museums over the weekend.

A Creative Space for Friendship and Joint Painting

Visitors created unique joint paintings with their friends and enjoyed art together in the special programme "A Creative Space for Friendship and Joint Painting".
