#MountainsAndSeaAsHome – Miniature Landscapes Studies

  • Until 31 October 2026

  • Display Area outside Children’s Discovery Gallery, G/F

  • Free admission

“Home is where mountains and seas meet.” — Mountains offer the soul a place of rest, while the sea embodies a longing for life’s endless possibilities. Together, they form a homeland within our hearts—the ideal of belonging.

This thematic art project is part of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum’s initiative to promote art education on campus. In collaboration with the neighboring Sha Tin Government Secondary School, the display features clay works by forty students. On a miniature scale, students reshaped mountains and the sea, kneading daily observations, inner reflections, and visions of the future into palm-sized landscapes. This project aims to encourage students to embark on artistic exploration, allowing them to express their imaginations of “home” and emotional connection to the community through artworks, while sharing these insights with the public.
