Hong Kong Heritage Museum Fun Day x Weekend Museum Chill


In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, we are excited to present a two-day “Fun Days” event, packed with a vibrant mix of activities for visitors of all ages! Our specially curated programme includes:

  • Here you are! Treasure Hunt – Explore the museum while unlocking hidden stories behind our collections. After completing the mission, you can redeem a souvenir at the Gift Redemption Counter.
  • HM25 Smart Fun Grab – Complete a special mission at the museum and unlock a play on the HM25 Smart Fun Grab game for a chance to win a special gift
  • Fun with Ink – Dive in and unleash your creativity in this imaginative and gloriously messy activity.
  • Entwined! – Get hands-on with traditional craft to weave your own floral band.
  • The Squad Reunion – Rediscover past joy and creative memories through MuseKids & MuseTeens Photo Gallery, MuseTeens: Youth Leadership Scheme 2025 Learning Journey Gallery, and capture new moments in our photo corner! Join MuseKids on-site to receive an exclusive welcome gift!
  • The “Draw All You Can” Reunion Workshop – Reconnect past and present MuseKids and MuseTeens to blend their brushstrokes of memory and imagination into one extraordinary canvas.

    The “Draw All You Can” Reunion⁠ Workshop

    Tutor Ms Anna Poon (Certified Teacher of Draw all you can and Circle painting, Registered Play Therapist and Therapeutic Art Teacher)
    Enrolment Please click to register online before 3:00 pm on 31 October 2025 - space is limited, new and old “MuseKids” and “MuseTeens” members will be given priority. In case of over-application, an open lot draw will be conducted. Successful applicants will be notified by phone and email.

    Thematic Talk: Striding Forward: From City Hall Museum to Hong Kong Heritage Museum

    The origin of public museum services in Hong Kong dates back to 1869, with the first museum premises established within the Old City Hall — launching a cultural legacy that has now spanned over 150 years. Join us for a special talk celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong Heritage Museum to revisit the formative years of Hong Kong’s first museum - its initial conception, early displays and founding collections. The talk will then chart the post-war developments of public museums in Hong Kong, tracing the remarkable growth from zero to a vibrant and diverse cultural network. It will conclude with an exclusive look at the innovative paths Hong Kong Heritage Museum has been pioneering in recent years.

    Carnival Afterglow: Cantopop Silent Disco

    Join an immersive musical journey with a curated soundtrack of all-time Cantopop favourites, where me-time and we-time blend seamlessly in silence.
