MuseTeens : Youth Leadership Scheme 2025 Learning Journey Gallery Traditional Craft ReimaginedGuangcai
Public Space, Children’s Discovery Gallery
15 November 2025 onwards

The “MuseTeens: Youth Leadership Scheme”, organised by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, offers secondary school students specially designed courses every summer to foster their interest in art, culture and history, and to give them insights into museum’s work. This year, the scheme introduced a learning journey gallery to showcase the students’ artworks, allowing visitors to appreciate their learning outcome and encouraging more teenagers to develop a deeper passion for art and culture.

This year’s edition titled “Traditional Craft Reimagined.Guangcai” focused on the inheritance and innovation of ceramic art. The exhibition showcases 22 selected Guangcai works created by junior and senior secondary school students, who drew inspiration respectively from the animal-shaped artefacts in the T. T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art and from pop culture elements in the “Hong Kong Pop 60+” exhibition. Under the guidance of professional tutors, the students created works that blend the distinctive characteristics of Guangcai with imaginative creativity and youthful vitality, demonstrating how this traditional craftsmanship can find new life and endless possibilities in modern life.

If you were not selected this year, please do not be discouraged. Stay tuned for our news announcements or contact us for updates in May 2026 to prepare for next year’s application. We look forward to your participation!
